Tláakw (3G) was captured mid-afternoon on November 4th, 2013 using the net launcher. In winter 2014, he traveled as far south as Vancouver Island. The following summer he traveled among many islands in the upper Inside Passage. He returned to the Chilkat River in fall of 2014, and spent much of the winter in the area. In late winter, he returned to Vancouver Island. Spring and summer 2015 saw him return to the Inside Passage, and in autum he made his way back to the Chilkat. His name means “fast” in Tlingit.
