Adult female Ixkée (2T) was captured mid-afternoon on November 4th using a bow net. The battery on her tag died out quickly, so we missed some locations for her. We knew she was on the Chilkat for a while, but then aren’t sure where she stayed through early winter. In spring of 2014, we picked her locations back up again as she traveled south. She spent the spring traveling up and down along the Inside Passage. In fall of 2014, she returned to the Chilkat, where she continued to stay throughout winter of 2014/2015. She continued traveling along the Inside Passage throughout 2015, again returning to the Chilkat in autumn. Her name means “down south” in Tlingit.
